The President has announced the appointment of new governors of 2 states in the country in October, 2023.
Raghuvar Das has been appointed the Governor of Odisha.
Raghuvar Das has been the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
Raghuvar Das was the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from the year 2104 to 2019.
Indra Sena Reddy has been made the Governor of Tripura.
The provision for appointment of the Governor is in Article 155 of the Constitution.
The Governor is the constitutional head of the state.
The President can remove the Governor at any time.

Recently Rajendra Menon has been appointed as the Chairman of the Armed Forces Tribunal.
