- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently announced the launch of the ‘Abua Awas Yojana’.
A target of 8 lakh residences for the homeless has been set under this initiative. - This initiative will cost the government Rs 16320 crore.
- In the first phase, 02 lakh houses will be built in the fiscal year 2023-24, 03 lakh 50 thousand dwellings in the second phase 2024-25, and 02 lakh 50 thousand pucca houses in the third phase 2025-26.
- This program will be in effect until 2025-26.
- The house to be built under this project will be 31 square meters in size.
- The concept includes provisions for a clean kitchen as well as three rooms.
- A provision has been made.
