- This network includes Gwalior in the ‘Music’ category and Kozhikode in the ‘Literature’ category.
- On November 1, a total of 55 cities around the world were added to this worldwide network.
- The UNESCO Creative Cities Network was formed in 2004.
- The goal of this network is to create collaboration among cities that identify creativity as a strategic aspect in urban development and incorporate it into policy formulation.
- This list presently includes 8 cities in India, including Gwalior and Kozhikode.
- Jaipur was the first city to be added to this network.
