- Recently, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced the formation of 3 new districts in the state.
- These new districts are – Malpura, Sujangarh and Kuchman City.
- After the formation of these 3 districts, the total number of districts in Rajasthan has now increased to 53.
- Malpura will be separated from the existing Tonk district and will go to Sujangarh. has been separated from Churu and Kuchaman from Nagaur.
- The committee was formed under the chairmanship of former civil servant Ram Lubhaya for the creation of new districts in Rajasthan.
- Earlier in August, 2023, the formation of 17 districts was announced.
