- The Union Cabinet has given its approval to the Jamrani project in Uttarakhand.
- The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana-Accelerated Irrigation Benefit has this project listed.
- The states and the Center share 90:10 of the expenditures under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana.
- In Uttarakhand, on the Gola River, a tributary of the Ramganga River, this project will be constructed.
The projected expense is Rs 2584 crore. - The completion date of this project is March 2028.
- This will give the districts of Rampur and Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, as well as Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand, an extra 57,000 hectares of irrigation capacity.
- In July of 2015, the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana was introduced.
