Recently, the Union Home Ministry has declared both these organizations illegal and extended the ban on them for 5 years. Now these terrorist organizations will remain banned for the next 5 years. Both these organizations have been banned under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 2019. Both these organizations were banned for the first time in the year 1997.
