Recently the Indian Ocean Rim Association meeting was held in Sri Lanka. This was the 23rd meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim Association. Sri Lanka was represented at the meeting held in Colombo. After this meeting Sri Lanka was handed over the chairmanship of IORA. Sri Lanka will now be the Chairman of IORA from 2023 to 2025. Earlier, this organization was chaired by Bangladesh from 2021 to 2023. The Indian Ocean Rim Association was established in the year 1997. At present it has 23 member countries of the Indian Ocean region.

Recently India and France have signed an MoU for cooperation in the digital technology sector. This agreement has been approved by the Union Cabinet. The objective of this MoU is to promote closer cooperation and exchange of information related to digital technologies. Its provisions are to mutually support the goal of each partner to encourage access to digital technology in its country. This agreement will last for 5 years from the date of its implementation.
Intelligent Grievance Monitoring System 2.0 is the new grievance redressal system of the Central Government. Recently the new version of this system was inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology. It is a Public Grievance Portal and Automated Analysis System in the Tree Dashboard Portal of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. This system has been developed by IIT Kanpur. This dashboard provides quick tabular analysis of complaints lodged and disposed, complaints lodged state-wise and district-wise and ministry-wise data. It is enabled by Artificial Intelligence capability.
Recently the Union Cabinet has approved the Mera Bharat Scheme. My Youth India will be an autonomous organization. This organization will work as a technology based system for youth development and youth led development. This institution will provide equal level access to the youth to realize their aspirations and build a developed India. This organization will be beneficial for the youth in the age group of 15 to 29. The official launch of this organization will be done on 31st October on the occasion of National Unity Day.
