- The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the launch of ‘Digital Doctor Clinic’ scheme for universal access to health facilities in the state.
- The ‘Digital Doctor Clinic’ scheme will expand health facilities in rural areas.
- Through this, doctors will give advice to the villagers through online medium.
- These clinics will serve as primary health centers, where doctors can be consulted through online video conferencing.
- After consultation, villagers will be able to avail medicines and testing facilities from the respective primary health centres/community health centres.
- Initially this scheme will be started in Lucknow and Bulandshahr districts.
- The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an agreement of Rs 350 crore with Obdu Group for this scheme.
